Ponta de lança, 2015


 
                            
               In Ponta de lança [Spearhead] a north hinterland dagger from the beginning of the 20th century is embedded in the first edition of the book of the same name published in the same year by Oswald de Andrade (1890-1954). The handle and tip of the dagger are revealed while its middle is covered by the book. The ornaments on the book's cover design seem to integrate with the ornamental design on the metal surface of the dagger's handle. Oswald de Andrade's book collects conferences written and articles published by the author between 1943 and 1944, published in the newspapers Folha da Manhã, O Estado de São Paulo and Diário de São Paulo, in a deliberately critical and acid tone, in some cases, controversial and combative. The critical spirit as a greater weapon.
