                 Ouro Preto consists of the first edition of the book “Guia de Ouro Preto” (1938), by Manuel Bandeira (1886-1968), and a magnifying glass placed over the illustration by Luis Jardim (1901-1987) on the cover, bringing the idea of smallness, detail, something valuable that must be seen up close, in this case, maximized, like the valuable ore extracted from the mines of Ouro Preto; as well as inviting a critical re-examination of this violent colonial past.
