                 Corte [Cut] dialogues with Imagem [Image] (2007-2010), the first sculpture with a religious statue (roca) made by me, examining, amongst other things, the notions of display, exhibition and architecture, and with the studio of Donald Judd (1928-1994) in SoHo, New York. In this work, the cut is applied to the hollow stainless steel structure, which’s plates are also cut at a 45º angle so the joints are invisible. The head of a 19th century processional religious figure with crystal eyes is displayed on it. Corte reveals, by means of cutting and framing, the elements in the room in which it is displayed
